Betsy counsels high school students across the country during their college search and application process. Her attention to detail, research skills and background as a communications professional are central to her work. Working with high school students is a privilege and an inspiration. When she isn’t in application season, Betsy spends her time visiting college campuses, meeting with admissions representatives, participating in professional development opportunities and reading extensively to keep abreast of the rapidly changing college landscape.
A graduate of Kenyon College (BA, English Literature), the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (MBA) and the University of California at Los Angeles (College Counseling Certificate, with distinction), Betsy was a long-time alumni admissions interviewer and application reader before beginning work as a college counselor.
A two sport collegiate athlete in field hockey and lacrosse at the DIII level, Betsy has experience guiding potential college athletes, although she enjoys advising students of all backgrounds and talents.
Betsy is the mother of four boys, all of whom successfully transitioned to college and beyond. The connection each made to his school of choice was gratifying to observe. Her role as a parent influences her work and is also her greatest joy.
She is a resident of Wellesley, MA having recently relocated after 20 years in Concord, MA.
Betsy is a professional member of IECA.
